- The interpersonal skills and professionalism portion of the ACGME

I originally decided to work with Lisa Scott after I learned I would start teaching at a University in the following months. While I've been in the USA for about 10 years and my level of English can be considered quite good (in terms of vocabulary, grammar, and overall comprehension), my pronunciation of a number of familiar sounds was not really satisfactory and I was growing tired of being asked to repeat myself so often.
I therefore started this program with Lisa and I believe I quickly improved the pronunciation of a large number of basic (and not so basic) sounds. I consider Lisa as my "pronunciation coach" and, as such, she provides, not just her perfect knowledge of English sound pronunciation, but also her highly sharp ear to analyze and correct (when necessary) every word coming out of my mouth.
Flexibility and customization of the class content are also a large part of the success of the program. I am quite happy with the progress I made in the weeks I worked with Lisa. This said, while this method can work wonderfully well, prospective students should be aware that it requires significant amount of work outside the class.
When factoring in all the advantages of completing this training, I can safely say this is one of the best investments of my time I've ever made.
